Jury gives man death in 3 Norman murders

NORMAN – A Cleveland County jury took less than 45 minutes Friday night to decide William Eugene Davis should die for the murders of his two sisters and another woman.Davis, 52, showed no emotion as the decision was read, not once but three times, representing a sentence of death for each of the women: sisters Tami Link, 52, and Sheila Ellis, 56, and Link’s mother-in-law, Letannah Bishop, 87.Outside the courtroom, family members of the three women cried, hugged and stood together to answer reporters’ questions."I’d like to say for the whole family, this path we chose was not one of vengeance or retribution,” said Tami Link’s husband, Brent.Read more on NewsOK.com [ read article ]
